Luffa is a curcubita, a group of plants that includes squash, courgettes and cucumbers.

The pollinated flowers of the plant develop a fibrous pod containing a characteristic interwoven cellulose. When the luffa is mature it becomes hard and effective for exfoliating, cleaning surfaces.

Simply wet the loofah with water and add soap. Rub on surfaces or body when used as a sponge. Can also be used as a solid soap dish.
